COURTOWN SEAL RESCUE CENTRE
Courtown Seal Rescue Centre is a not-for-profit charity nestled away on the Wexford Coast. The team of volunteers that can be found here are dedicated to rescuing seals from all across Ireland and rehabilitating them back to full health before being released back into the wild.
Dealing with over 100 seal pups a year, the centre is open to members of the public to visit and see their rehabilitation work first hand.
Not only they rescue seal pups but they rehab some injured ones and releases them later when they are ready to go back to sea. Check their releases dates on their website, since for sure it is something great for the kids to watch.
For the pups through numerous methods, they feed the seals before teaching them how to feed themselves, until they reach their target weight for releasing into the wild.
