PIRATES COVE

Come along to Pirates Cove Wexford for a great family day out in the South East’s leading entertainment centre. Only a 25-minute drive from Treacys Hotel Wexford. There’s lots of swashbuckling fun for all ages and it is an ideal day out for the whole family. Enjoy sub-tropical gardens when you challenge your crew to a game of 18-hole mini golf. Venture through giant caves, a cascading waterfall, and a full-sized shipwreck of a treasure-laden galleon on Europe’s best Adventure Golf course. Play at night with low level lighting for a magical experience with a truly exotic feel. The Funcaves soft play area is always a hit with the under 10’s. Be the captain of your own bumper boat as you travel around the beautiful lagoon but beware of the waterfalls. Walk on water in bubble rollers while the little scallywags enjoy paddle boats which are safely contained within an inflatable pond. Don’t forget there is also 10 Pin Bowling, Electric children’s Go-karts (max. speed 9km/h), a Games Arcade and a newly opened Spinning Compass Casino. Let the scavengers cool down with an ice cream or a variety of treasures at the Cove Café where you can also get a feast fit for Captain Jack himself or bring your own and make use of their picnic area.

BEACHES

Wexford boasts a series of stretched, sandy beaches which are ideal for building sandcastles, for water-sports enthusiasts, for swimming in rock pools or collecting shells and simply enjoying the sand between your toes. Of course no trip to Wexford is complete without piling into the car for a drive, to soak up the salty spray of the ocean at one of many viewpoints where you can capture the perfect family photo set against the backdrop of Wexford’s sandy coastline. For a fun-filled family beach day a visit to Courtown, Kilmore or Rosslare Strand is a must or enjoy the almost exotic white soft sands of Morriscastle Strand or Curracloe Beach. Curracloe Beach is one of the most popular beaches in Ireland. Just a 30-minute drive away from Treacys Hotel, this soft-sand beach is frequented by sunbathers and nature-lovers alike. Its 7-mile-long beach is famous for its soft and fine sand, which puts it in contrast with many of the stony beaches that you will find around Ireland. The beach is guarded by several large and sprawling dunes, all of which are held together and stabilised by a seemingly endless blanket of green marram grass.

Ballinesker is the beach where Steven Spielberg shot the film “Saving Private Ryan” in 1997 and is covered in soft, wind-blown sand.This beautiful and accessible beach is the perfect spot for bird watching, as it is close by to Wexford Wildfowl Reserve, and for collecting stunning seashells.

ENNISCORTHY ROCKIN’ FOOD FESTIVAL

The Rockin’ Food Festival takes over Enniscorthy every August Bank Holiday weekend and this year’s Rockin’ Food Festival promises to be bigger and better than ever! A fantastic international event for the August Bank Holiday Weekend to rock your socks off once again!

The Festival includes everything we all love most about summer with Free Live Music, Artisan Food, Craft & Beer Markets, Family Fun and so much more. You can expect a brand-new, impressive schedule of chefs, producers and special guests in the FREE Food Marquee, an impressive Artisan Food Market with over 80 of the best local and artisan vendors, a superlative International Line-up of Rock ‘n’ Roll artists for our FREE outdoor gigs, a jam-packed program of food and drink workshops, events and classes as well as lots of FREE and exceptional value packages for our younger festival-goers!

Want to bring the family out for a day adventure packed with fun and activities then we think Leisure Max is the right spot for you. From young to old you will be entertained with so much different choices to choose from, it will suit everybody.

Leisure Max is located only on the outskirts of Wexford Town which is 30 minutes of a drive away from us in Enniscorthy. It is one of the best activities loaded location in the County for all ages. It is open from 10am-10pm daily and with coming from us you can pick from 1 hour bowling or 2 Activities, Bungee Run & Zorbing.

Even if you are not interested in those events there is no need to worry their is a lot more you can do when you stop by, activities such as Laser Tag, Escape Rooms, Build a bear and an Indoor Adventure Playground are also available on the premises. Food and drink is also available here with arcade games.
